Assignment Grade Tracker
Log each graded assignment to see your current grade, the weight still remaining, and the average you need on the rest to hit your target.
Log every graded assignment as you go. The tracker shows your current grade on the work completed, how much course weight is still unmarked, and — if you set a target — the average you need on everything left to reach it.
How the tracker works
Two numbers matter as a course unfolds: how you are doing so far, and what you must do on what is left.
- Current grade is the weighted average of the assignments already graded — it ignores work not yet returned, so it reflects only your standing right now.
- Needed average solves for the mark required on all remaining weight to hit your target. If it comes out above 100%, the target is out of reach; if it is at or below 0%, you have already secured it.
Updating the tracker after each grade returns turns vague worry into a clear plan: you always know exactly where you stand and what the rest of the term demands.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How is my current grade different from my final grade?
- Your current grade is the average of work already graded. Your final grade also depends on assignments not yet completed. The tracker shows the current grade and the average you still need to reach your target.
- What does it mean if I need more than 100%?
- It means the target is no longer mathematically reachable with the weight remaining, because too many points have already been lost. Pick a realistic target and focus on maximising the remaining work.
- Should I enter assignments I have not done yet?
- No — only enter graded assignments with real scores. The tracker treats everything else as remaining weight and calculates what you need on it. Add a target grade to see the required average.
